Funerals & Funeral Preplanning
As Christians we find hope and comfort in the redemptive work of Christ with the assurance that in death, “life has changed not ended.” We give great thanks and praise to Jesus for the gift of our beloved departed. Our Lord urges us to have utmost respect for our deceased brothers and sisters; the dignity of the body is not lost at death, for it too will be raised on the last day. At St. John Apostle & Evangelist Catholic Church, we see it as our sacred duty to celebrate the funeral liturgy in a worthy and reverent manner.
St. John Apostle & Evangelist Catholic Church would like to extend our sincere condolences for your loss. It is never easy to lose a loved one, no matter their age or circumstances. Know that you and your family will be in our prayers. If a loved one has been called home by God and you want to schedule a funeral or memorial service, please call and schedule a meeting to confirm the availability of our church and our priest before setting a date with the funeral home. When a death occurs, please contact the Parish Office at 808-623-3332.
