St. John Apostle & Evangelist Catholic Church provides a unified, comprehensive Youth Ministry (CYM), which uses EDGE resources. Our mission is to lead middle school students to the Eucharistic Lord. We hang out, play games, have deep discussions, share snacks, and pray together. Classes are held on Sundays in room 4 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. If you are a student in grades 6-8, we would love to see you in the youth group!
Goals of Catholic Youth Ministry
- Goal 1: To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today. (Renewing the Vision, p.9)
- Goal 2: To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community. (RTV, p. 11)
- Goal 3: To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person. (RTV, p. 15)

Summer Adventure 2026
Summer Adventure is a six-week summer program for incoming 6th–12th grade students featuring faith, friendship, games, discussions, and fun! Each week, students will encounter Christ through engaging talks, prayer, and group activities while building community in a welcoming and joyful environment. We invite all middle school and high school students to join us for an exciting summer together!
Please note: Participation in Summer Adventure does not count toward Sacramental Preparation requirements.
